Slim bracket for VPL-VW290 – works with lens shift.
The Sony VPL-VW290 projector has a motorised optical lens shift feature. This makes it possible to position the projector higher (or lower) than the top of the screen, without any distortion to the geometry of the projected image. This makes the VPL-VW290 projector highly suitable for use with the UK Home cinemas ultra low profile bracket for VPL-VW290. The projector can be perfectly horizontal and there will be no need to use keystone correction to get a perfect image shape. The Sony VPL-VW290’s lens shift control allows the image to be moved up or down, left and right so that it can be aligned perfectly with the position of the screen.
To put it another way there is no reason to have the bracket for VPL-VW290 hanging down from the ceiling. Instead it can be positioned directly on the ceiling on this ultra low profile projector bracket for VPL-VW290.
