Low profile bracket for VPL-VW790 - For use with the projector's lens shift feature.
The Sony VPL-VW790 projector has optical lens shift capability. this makes it possible to position the projector higher (or lower) than the top of the screen. This is a physical adjustment of the lens, whereby the lens changes position within the projector. This adjustment does not cause any distortion to the shape of the projected image. The optical lens shift feature is present on many home cinema projectors including the VPL-VW790. It is this feature, which makes it possible to use an ultra low profile bracket for VPL-VW790 installation. Our Mounting brackets incorporate adjustment to get the projector perfectly horizontal (even if the ceiling is slightly imperfect). If the projector is correctly installed onto a UK Home cinemas low profile mount for VPL-VW790, there will be no need to use the dreaded keystone correction feature on the projector. It should be possible to achieve near perfect on screen image geometry. The VPL-VW790's motorised lens shift control allows the image to be moved up or down, left and right so that it can be aligned perfectly with the position of the screen whilst the projector remains perfectly horizontal.
We think that there is no reason why clients should have to have an ugly bracket for VPL-VW760 dangling from the ceiling. Instead the projector can be positioned in a much more elegant way, directly on the ceiling on our ultra low profile projector bracket for VPL-VW790

At UK Home Cinemas we find that for the vast majority of the home cinema installation projects we do, an ultra low profile projector bracket is the best possible way to mount the projector. We have developed a special version of our ultra low profile projector mount, to take the larger Sony Laser projectors including the Sony VPL-VW790. This mount is still very slim and we think that it is the ideal mounting bracket for VPL-VW790 projectors. Our bracket for VPL-VW790 places the projector approximately 25mm below the ceiling and allows the installer to make fine adjustments to correct for ceilings which are not perfectly horizontal.
