Low profile bracket for VPL-XW5000 – For use with lens shift feature.
The optical lens shift feature On Sony’s VPL-XW5000 projector is a fantastic feature. Lens shift makes it possible to position the projector higher or lower than the top of the screen. The projector is able to adjust the position of its picture, by making small movements to the position of its lens. This way, the Lens shift feature does not cause any distortion to the shape of the projected image, so the optical lens shift is a very useful feature. It can be used in conjunction with our ultra low profile bracket for VPL-XW5000.
Our ultra low profile mounting brackets have small levelling adjustments. These adjustments enable the installer to get the projector perfectly horizontal, even if the ceiling is not quite level. With this solution, there will be no need to use the dreaded keystone correction feature on the projector, so it will always be possible to achieve perfect on screen image geometry. The VPL-XW5000’s lens shift control allows the image to be moved up or down and left or right, so that it can be aligned perfectly with the position of the screen.
We think that there is no reason to have an ugly bracket for VPL-XW5000, dangling down from the ceiling, but instead the projector can be positioned directly onto the ceiling, using our ultra low profile projector bracket for VPL-XW5000.

This mounting bracket is still very slim and we think it’s the perfect mounting bracket for VPL-XW5000 projectors. Our bracket for VPL-XW5000 places the projector almost directly below the ceiling and allows the installer to make fine adjustments, to correct for ceilings which are not perfectly horizontal.
